Once again this year, we are happy to be a part of the Fourth Annual North Fork Foodie Tour, scheduled for Sunday, September 12, 2010 from l0 a.m. to 4 p.m. As in the past, the Foodie Tour will be self-guided, similar to a house tour, and provide the opportunity for all who attend to visit North Fork producers of unique, local, artisanal foods. We know from experience that the Tour is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the finest of what the North Fork has to offer, to inform the attendees of how the products are made and to emphasize what makes them so special! For further information about the Foodie Tour, and to purchase tickets, please go to http://www.northforkreformsynagogue.org and click on North Fork Foodie Tour.

Earlier Than Ususal Bloom
05 July 2010
It is hard to believe that our lavender field has already bloomed. It seems that the bloom was about 2 plus weeks early. All of the lavender has been cut, sold as fresh or hung up to dry.
Our bees have been hard at work but because of the shrinking bloom and very hot weather the bees are a little aggressive. We have been forced to stop our u-pick lavender. But don't worry...if there is lavender in the field we will do the picking for you.

Honey update
26 June 2010
We are hoping for a very productive honey season. The bees are very hard at work.
We have gathered out "locust" honey and it is available for sale in our shop. It had been described as sweet, mild and fruity.
If our friends, the bees, keep up the good work we hope to have our lavender honey mid to late July,
