There's something that happens when someone stops at our table for the first time.

They lean in, drawn by the scent before they even see the sign. They pick up a sachet, hold it close, and for just a moment, everything slows down. The noise of the city fades. Their shoulders drop. And then they look up and ask, "Where is this from?"
Right here. Long Island. Grown by our family.
That moment is why we pack up the van and head into the city — again and again, week after week.
The Farm Comes to You
Our lavender starts its life on two farms on the North Fork of Long Island — our original 17-acre property in East Marion, home to over 80,000 lavender plants, and our expansive 30-acre farm in Calverton. We grow it, harvest it, and craft it into the products we bring to market.
Which means when you stop by our Greenmarket table, you're not buying from a middleman or a distributor. You're buying directly from the people who planted them and watched them bloom.
Where to Find Us
We're out at the markets most of the week — here's where to look:
- Union Square Greenmarket — Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays
- Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, Brooklyn — Saturdays
- Columbus ave between 77th and 78th Street, Upper West Side — Sundays
- Forest Hills or Jackson Heights - Sundays
All markets are weather permitting. Follow us on Instagram @lavenderbythebay for updates before you make the trip.

What We Bring
Our market table changes with the seasons, but you can always expect a full range of what we grow and make — dried lavender bunches, pillow mists, essential oils, sachets, bath salts, culinary lavender, our wildflower honey, and more. It's the same collection you'll find in our online shop, but with the added bonus of being able to smell everything before you buy.
If you've ever wondered which product is right for you, our team at the table loves talking through it. We're not salespeople — we're farmers who genuinely care about lavender and what it can do for your daily life.

Can't Make It to the Market?
We get it — New York City schedules are unpredictable, and the markets are weather permitting. That's exactly why our full collection is always available online. Same farm-grown quality, shipped straight to your door.
And if you want to stay in the loop on market days, new arrivals, and what's blooming on the farm — sign up for our email list. We only send things worth reading.
Whether you find us under the tent at Union Square on a Wednesday morning or tucked between the bread and the flower stalls in Brooklyn on a Saturday, we're glad you stopped by.
That moment when the scent hits you and everything slows down? That's the whole point.
