The Best Time to Visit

Nature has its own rhythm, and our lavender blooms in a symphony of colors throughout the season. With both English and French lavender thriving on our farm, each variety offers a unique experience.

English Lavender: The First Bloom

The season begins with our delicate English lavender, blooming in mid-June. The first bloom showcases a breathtaking palette—white, pale blue, pink, soft lilac and deep purple. With over 20 varieties, English lavender usually grows to two feet tall, though some stretch even higher. This is when we begin our first harvest, gathering fresh and dried bundles at peak bloom.

French Lavender: The Showstopper

For the most spectacular display, plan your visit for early July. This is when our French lavender fields reach their peak, covering the landscape in a striking shade of deep purple—the iconic lavender fields of Provence, right here at home. This is our peak bloom, the moment when the fields are at their most breathtaking.

At this time, we begin harvesting, ensuring our fresh and dried bundles retain their beauty and fragrance. If you visit later in July, some sections of the fields will have been trimmed, and the remaining lavender will be past its prime—but the air will still be rich with its scent.

A Second English Lavender Bloom

English lavender makes a subtle return in late summer and early fall. This second bloom is smaller, with select varieties offering a delicate encore. We harvest these blossoms quickly to create fresh lavender bunches while they’re at their finest.

Each bloom lasts about 2–2.5 weeks, though we begin harvesting after the first week to preserve the highest quality for our dried bundles.

💜 Please note: Bloom times vary slightly each year depending on Mother Nature’s schedule. For the latest updates, follow along on our Updates Page, Facebook, and Instagram.

Locations

We have two locations: Calverton and East Marion. Check out our Directions page for full info on how to find us.

East Marion

Planted in 2002, these are our beloved Lavender by the Bay fields—17 acres of mature, lush lavender. Here, you'll also find our farm shop, filled with handcrafted lavender treasures.

Nature thrives here. Instead of using chemical pesticides, we rely on a more charming solution—our free-range chickens. These hardworking helpers keep pests in check while enjoying their own lavender retreat. Please let them roam undisturbed as you enjoy the fields.

💡 A friendly reminder: The East Marion fields are surrounded by private homes. Please be mindful of our neighbors when you visit.

Calverton

Expansive and breathtaking, our Calverton fields stretch across a larger acreage than East Marion. Here, lavender appears to roll endlessly into the horizon, creating a scene of absolute serenity. Planted in 2018, these fields are vibrant and thriving, set against the peaceful backdrop of surrounding farmland.

Take a Seat & Soak It All In

Throughout both locations, you’ll find purple Adirondack chairs thoughtfully placed in the fields—your perfect spot to unwind, breathe deeply, and let the lavender-scented breeze wash over you.

(Fun fact: Adirondack chairs get their name from the mountains in upstate New York! Designed for comfort, they sit low to the ground, inviting you to truly relax.)
