Just like us, your lavender plants also need an occasional haircut! Trimming and shaping the plant with gardening shears or a sickle will extend its lifespan, and prevent it from becoming leggy and woody at the base.

How do you know if you have pruned your plant correctly? 
Your lavender plant should be pruned to 2/3 of its original size and should be shaped like a dome, or upside-down bowl.
