lavender is bliss

Lavender and Lavandin essential oils are some of the most versatile essential oils. It is distilled from the lavender plant and carries a fresh, clean, calming, aroma. It has been used for thousands of years for its many benefits and healing properties to the mind, body, and soul. It can be used in a variety of ways and is generally safe to apply directly to the skin, a little goes a long way!

At Lavender by the Bay we steam distill lavender right on our farm on Long Island. We then bottle the essential oil, again on the farm, providing a 100% pure Lavender essential oil experience.

We distill essential oil from both the Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) and Lavandin Super (Lavandin) plants.

Lavender + Lavendin Essential Oil Duo

The difference between these types of essential oil is that Lavandin naturally contains camphor whereas Lavender does not. This means that the smell of Lavandin is stronger and more pungent and is best used for its aromatic benefits. Lavender has a milder, sweeter smell that is best used for its calming benefits. Take a look at the list below for the top for ways to use both Lavender and Lavandin essential oil.

I have visited Lavender by the Bay several times and enjoyed this beautiful place! I consider lavender oil as the “go to” oil since it is healing and helpful for many issues. I hope Lavender by the Bay will go on forever…. PS I have also brought several friends who had a great experience there as well. Blessings!

I love your oils, they are the best smelling lavender oils I have ever used. I was bitten by a mosquito while I was out in a park and only had some of your oil in my purse. I dabbed it on the bite and lo and behold the itching stopped for hours!
